Community Groups are a big deal. We all need encouraging relationships with other believers.

A Community Group is a community of people connected for discipleship through Bible study, prayer, and spiritually encouraging relationships. At Plaza, Community Groups can meet on campus or off, and on any day of the week. Community Groups are organized according to life-stage, community, gender, or just convenient meeting times.

We like to say that here at Plaza our groups have the following foundations…
Biblical Community-The bible is our foundation. We study it and encourage each other to grow in the bible.
Building Community-We value relationships. People are important and so building into each others lives is how we grow.
Blessing the Community-We were not called to be a “holy huddle” but to serve the community around us.
Birthing new Community-As God’s grace allows we continue to make disciples.

Community Groups function best when the group is small enough for everyone to be involved in the conversation. It may be that Jesus modeled this by choosing twelve disciples. A group that size can keep up with happenings in one another’s lives and be able to encourage each other through prayer and support.

You are welcome to visit a Community Group to see if it is a fit. Drop-ins are welcome at on-campus groups. The best way to visit an off-campus group is to contact the leader in advance to confirm the time and place. If you need any help finding a Community Group, please contact us. We would love to partner with you in finding a Group that fits you.
